Αφγανιστάν: Τουλάχιστον 1.000 νεκροί από το σεισμό

Τουλάχιστον 1.000 άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους από τον ισχυρό σεισμό που έπληξε την περασμένη νύκτα το νοτιοανατολικό Αφγανιστάν, σύμφωνα με υψηλόβαθμο αξιωματούχο μιας από τις επαρχίες που επλήγησαν περισσότερο.

«Ο απολογισμός έφθασε τους 1.000 νεκρούς και ο αριθμός αυτός αυξάνεται. Οι άνθρωποι ανοίγουν τάφους, τον ένα μετά τον άλλο», αναφέρει ο επικεφαλής της υπηρεσίας Ενημέρωσης και Πολιτισμού της επαρχίας Πάκτικα, ο Μοχάμαντ Αμίν Χουζάιφα, σε μήνυμά του προς τον Τύπο.
