Η Λαγκάρντ δεν βλέπει κίνδυνο στασιμοπληθωρισμού

Η Ευρωπαϊκή Κεντρική Τράπεζα δεν αναμένει ότι ο πόλεμος στην Ουκρανία θα ωθήσει την ευρωζώνη σε στασιμοπληθωρισμό, ακόμη και αν αυξήσει τον πληθωρισμό εξαιτίας των υψηλών τιμών ενέργειας και μειώσει τον ρυθμό ανάπτυξης, δήλωσε η πρόεδρος της ΕΚΤ Κριστίν Λαγκάρντ, χθες Σάββατο.

«Τα εισερχόμενα δεδομένα δεν υποδηλώνουν πραγματικό κίνδυνο στασιμοπληθωρισμού», τόνισε η Λαγκάρντ σε συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στην κυπριακή εφημερίδα “ Ο Φιλελεύθερος” που δημοσιεύεται στον ιστότοπο της Ευρωπαϊκής Κεντρικής Τράπεζας.

Η Κριστίν Λαγκάρντ ανέφερε ότι η ανάπτυξη της οικονομίας στην ευρωζώνη μπορεί να υποχωρήσει ακόμη και στο 2,3% το 2022 εξαιτίας του πολέμου, σύμφωνα με το δυσμενές σενάριο. Ωστόσο, σημείωσε ότι σε όλα τα σενάρια, ο πληθωρισμός αναμένεται να μειωθεί και να σταθεροποιηθεί σε επίπεδα κοντά στον στόχο του 2% που έχει θέσει η ΕΚΤ το 2024.
