Δύσκολη νίκη για το Βέλγιο

Βέλγιο χωρίς φρένα διατήρησε το αήττητο και την κορυφή του έκτου ομίλου των προκριματικών του Euro 2024! Η ομάδα του Ντομένικο Τεντέσκο, πέρασε δύσκολα από το Αζερμπαϊτζάν (0-1) με τον Καράσκο να βρίσκει δίχτυα στο 38' και εκμεταλλευόμενη το ρεπό της Αυστρίας, έπιασε ξανά κορυφή μετά από πέντε αγωνιστικές.

Περιμένει την Εσθονία στην επόμενη αγωνιστική στις Βρυξέλλες και «στραβοπάτημα» της Αυστρίας στη Σουηδία προκειμένου να βρεθεί μόνο πρώτο στην κορυφή του ομίλου του Βέλγιο.

Στο αγωνιστικό κομμάτι, το ματς δεν διεκδίκησε δάφνες ποιότητας καθώς το Αζερμπαϊτζάν, αμύνθηκε μαζικά αναζητώντας κάποιο τέρμα στην αντεπίθεση. Η πρώτη καλή στιγμή για το Βέλγιο ήρθε στο 6' με τον Τροσάρ να εξαπολύει ένα δυνατό σουτ το οποίο τράνταξε το δοκάρι του Μαμαλαντίγιεφ.

Με τη συμπλήρωση του ημιώρου οι γηπεδούχοι έφτασαν κοντά στο 1-0 με τον Νταντάσοφ να πιάνει μια εξαιρετική κεφαλιά και τον Καστέελς να αποκρούει εντυπωσιακά. Ό,τι δεν έκανε ο Αζέρος, στο 32' το κατάφερε για το Βέλγιο ο Καράσκο έξι λεπτά αργότερα με κοντινό πλασέ διαμορφώνοντας το τελικό 1-0.
