Επική πρόκριση για την Σενεγάλη, λύγισε με 2-1 το Εκουαδόρ

Μια μεγάλη νίκη-πρόκριση στη φάση των «16» του φετινού Παγκόσμιου Κυπέλλου πανηγυρίζει η Σενεγάλη, η οποία επικράτησε με 2-1 στον… τελικό του 1ου ομίλου κόντρα στο Εκουαδόρ, τερματίζοντας στη δεύτερη θέση και πίσω από την Ολλανδία!

Χάρη στα γκολ των Ισμαϊλά Σαρ (πέναλτι στο 44’) και Κουλιμπαλί (70’) , οι Αφρικανοί προκρίθηκαν στους «16» ενός Μουντιάλ για δεύτερη φορά στην ιστορία τους και πρώτη μετά από το 2002, στην χρονιά που έφτασαν μέχρι τα προημιτελικά στη διοργάνωση που διεξήχθη σε Κορέα και Ιαπωνία.

Από την άλλη, απογοήτευση για το Εκουαδόρ, το οποίο θα προκρινόταν ακόμα και σε περίπτωση που το παιχνίδι ολοκληρώνονταν ισόπαλο. Έφερε το ματς στα ίσα προσωρινά ο Καϊσέδο, αλλά μόλις δύο λεπτά αργότερα ο Κουλιμπαλί σκόραρε το νικητήριο γκολ για τη Σενεγάλη, ρίχνοντας στο καναβάτσο του Λατινοαμερικάνους. Δεν φάνηκε στον αγώνα ο Ένερ Βαλέντσια, ο οποίος παρουσιάστηκε εμφανώς επηρεασμένος από τον τραυματισμό που τον ταλαιπώρησε στο γόνατό του.
