Παρέμεινε αφεντικό του ομίλου η ΑΕΚ με το 1-1 κόντρα στον Άγιαξ

H ΑΕΚ παρέμεινε αήττητη στους ομίλους του εφετινού Europa League, καθώς αν και βρέθηκε να χάνει με 1-0 από τον Άγιαξ στην Opap Arena κατάφερε τελικά να σώσει τον βαθμό της ισοπαλίας παίρνοντας το 1-1. Η ομάδα του Αλμέιδα, μετά από δύο αγωνιστικές, φιγουράρει στην κορυφή του ομίλου με 4 βαθμούς. Μετά την ισοπαλία (2-2) στο Βελοντρόμ ανάμεσα σε Μαρσέιγ και Μπράιτον, οι Γάλλοι και ο «Αίαντας» ακολουθούν την ΑΕΚ, έχοντας από 2 βαθμούς, με τους Άγγλους να βρίσκονται στην τελευταία θέση με έναν. Ο Άγιαξ μπήκε πολύ πιο δυνατά στην αναμέτρηση. Ήταν, μάλιστα, αυτός που έχασε την πρώτη μεγάλη ευκαιρία στο 12΄, με τον Στάνκοβιτς να αποκρούει την προσπάθεια του Φορμπς. Στο 28΄ οι φιλοξενούμενοι κέρδισαν πέναλτι όταν ο Πινέδα ανέτρεψε τον Μπέργκβαϊν και ο Μπέργχαους ευστόχησε από τη «βούλα» για το 0-1. Στο 65΄ η ΑΕΚ έχασε διπλή ευκαιρία με τον Γκατσίνοβιτς ο οποίος πρώτα «νικήθηκε» από τον Χόρτερ και στη συνέχεια σούταρε πάνω στο σώμα του Άβιλα, από πολύ πλεονεκτική θέση. Ο Αλμέιδα έριξε στο ματς κάθε διαθέσιμο «εργαλείο» που είχε στη διάθεσή του. Με φουλ επιθετικό σχήμα η ΑΕΚ βρήκε την ισοφάριση σε ένα χρονικά καθοριστικό σημείο, από σέντρα του Άμραμπατ και κεφαλιά του Ντομαγκόι Βίντα στο 75΄.
