Τρίτος ο Χρήστου στα 100μ. ύπτιο

Την τρίτη θέση στα 100μ. ύπτιο κατέλαβε ο Απόστολος Χρήστου, στην αυλαία του πρώτου φετινού Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου κολύμβησης σε 25άρα πισίνα, που φιλοξενήθηκε στο Βερολίνο. Ο πρωταθλητής του Πανου Βελέντζα πέτυχε χρόνο 50.16, πλησιάζοντας αρκετά το δικο του πανελλήνιο ρεκόρ (49.87 από πέρυσι), και έδειξε ότι βρίσκεται σε καλό δρόμο ενόψει του Παγκοσμίου Πρωταθλήματος 25άρας πισίνας, που θα γίνει τον Δεκέμβριο στη Μελβούρνη.    Νικητής του αγώνα αναδείχθηκε ο Αμερικανός Σέιν Κάσας, που τερμάτισε σε 49.54, μπροστά από τον Ιταλό πρωταθλητή κόσμου Τόμας Τσέκον (49.62). Ο Χρήστου μοιράστηκε την τρίτη θέση με τον Καναδό Χαβιέρ Ασεβέδο, καθώς σημείωσαν την ίδια επίδοση (50.16).    πηγή amna.gr
