Κατηγορείται για βιαιοπραγία κατά πρώην συντρόφου του ο Κύργιος

Σε μία χρονική περίοδο όπου ο Νικ Κύργιος βρίσκεται στα προημιτελικά του Wimbledon, έρχονται περιπέτειες για τον ίδιο. Όπως έγινε γνωστό, στον 27χρονο Αυστραλό απαγγέλθηκαν κατηγορίες για βιαιοπραγία κατά πρώην συντρόφου του, Κιάρα Πασάρι, και θα πρέπει να παραστεί σε δίκη στην Καμπέρα τον Αύγουστο (2/8).

Το περιστατικό για το οποίο κατηγορείται ο τενίστας φέρεται να συνέβη τον Δεκέμβριο στην Καμπέρα. Ο Κύργιος φέρεται να είχε μια διένεξη με την τότε κοπέλα του και να την άρπαξε βίαια, χωρίς να δίνονται περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες.

 

Η βαρύτερη ποινή που προβλέπεται για τέτοιου είδους αδικήματα είναι διετής φυλάκιση. Ο δικηγόρος του Κύργιου δεν θέλησε να τοποθετηθεί επί του θέματος τονίζοντας απλώς πως ο πελάτης του αντιμετωπίζει την υπόθεση με τη δέουσα σοβαρότητα και πως ό,τι έχει να πει θα το πει ενώπιον των δικαστών.

Ο Κύργιος είναι γνωστός για την εκρηκτική του συμπεριφορά. Προ ημερών ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς τον αποκάλεσε τραμπούκο, μετά τον αποκλεισμό του από τον Αυστραλό με ελληνικές ρίζες στους «32» του βρετανικού Grand Slam.
