Απόλυτη κυριαρχία των ΗΠΑ στα μετάλλια!

Τα αγωνίσματα των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων ολοκληρώθηκαν, κάτι που μας επιτρέπει να κάνουμε μία... οριστική «σούμα» των μεταλλίων!

Για μία ακόμη φορά, οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες κυριάρχησαν κατά κράτος στα συνολικά μετάλλια, έχοντας 126, με την Κίνα να ακολουθεί στη δεύτερη θέση με 91, κάτι που αποδεικνύει την αισθητή διαφορά της Team USA σε σχέση με τους ανταγωνιστές της!

Παρόλα αυτά, πολύ πιο ανταγωνιστική ήταν η κούρσα στα χρυσά μετάλλια, καθώς εκεί υπήρχε ισοβαθμία! Συγκεκριμένα, τόσο η Αμερική όσο και η Κίνα κατέκτησαν 40 πρωτιές, ενώ η τρίτη Ιαπωνία είχε μόλις τις μισές (20)!

Όσον αφορά στην Ελλάδα, η ελληνική αποστολή κατάφερε να εξασφαλίσει 8 μετάλλια συνολικά, όντας ισόβαθμη στην 26η θέση των συνολικών μεταλλίων με τις Νορβηγία, Ελβετία και Τουρκία.
