Ήττα για τον Τσιτσιπά στην Βαρκελώνη

Διαφορετική ιστορία από το Μόντε Κάρλο αποδείχθηκε το Barcelona Open.

Ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς έκανε μέτρια εμφάνιση και ηττήθηκε με 2-0 σετ (5-7, 3-6) από τον Κάσπερ Ρουντ στον τελικό της Βαρκελώνης, με τον Νορβηγό να κατακτά για πρώτη φορά στην καριέρα του τουρνουά μεγαλύτερο από ATP 250 (ATP 500). Από την άλλη, για τον Έλληνα τενίστα, επιβεβαιώθηκε η κακή «παράδοση», σύμφωνα με την οποία δεν μπορεί να κατακτήσει back-to-back τουρνουά. Κάτι ανάλογο ισχύει και στους τελικούς που έχει δώσει στην κατηγορία ATP 500, όπου μετράει πλέον 11 ήττες σε ισάριθμους τελικούς.
