Aσταμάτητος ο Τσιτσιπάς!

Λίγα 24ωρα μετά την κατάκτηση του Masters 1000 του Μόντε Κάρλο, ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς μπήκε με το... δεξί και στο τουρνουά της Βαρκελώνης. 

 

Ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής, εμφανώς κουρασμένος από την προσπάθειά του στο Πριγκιπάτο, χρειάστηκε μία ώρα και 36 λεπτά για να επιβληθεί δύσκολα του Αυστριακού, Σεμπαστιάν Όφνερ (νο43), με 2-0 (6-4, 7-5) και να προκριθεί στη συνέχεια της διοργάνωσης, όπου θα βρει απέναντί του τον Ρομπέρτο Καρμπάγες Μπαένα. Ο 31χρονος (νο72 στον κόσμο) έκανε την έκπληξη νωρίτερα κι επικράτησε με 2-0 του Ιταλού, Λορέντσο Μουζέτι, με 7-6 (4), 6-4.  

 

Η σημερινή ήταν η 7η συνεχόμενη νίκη του Τσιτσιπά στο tour, χάρις στις οποία πήρε το «εισιτήριο» για τους «16» του τουρνουά και την Πέμπτη (18/4, όχι νωρίτερα από τις 19:00) θα διεδικήσει απέναντι στον έμπειρο Ισπανό την πρόκριση στους προημιτελικούς.
