Δ. Μάντζος: Η κυβέρνηση δεν μαθαίνει από το παρελθόν και αδυνατεί να προετοιμάσει το μέλλον

«Μετά τα πρόωρα επινίκια για τη διαχείριση της δασικής πυρκαγιάς που οδήγησε στην απώλεια 15.000 στρεμμάτων γης και σε πληθώρα υλικών ζημιών και καμένων σπιτιών, ελπίζουμε - έστω και σήμερα - ο κ. Πρωθυπουργός να κατανόησε το μέγεθος της περιβαλλοντικής καταστροφής», σχολίασε ο Δημήτρης Μαντζος, εκπρόσωπος Τύπου του ΠΑΣΟΚ-Κινήματος Αλλαγής για την επίσκεψη του πρωθυπουργού στις καμμένες περιοχές της Πεντέλης.

 

   Ο κ. Μάντζος πρόσθεσε ότι «δεν μαθαίνουμε από το παρελθόν, και αυτή η κυβέρνηση αδυνατεί να  προετοιμάσει το μέλλον. Η προχθεσινή πυρκαγιά είναι μόνο η τελευταία από μια σειρά αποτυχιών του υφιστάμενου συστήματος πολιτικής προστασίας».

 

   Καταλόγισε στη κυβέρνηση πως «φέρει ακέραιη την ευθύνη για την αναστολή του ν. 4662/2020 που έχει μείνει 'στα χαρτιά'. Είναι εντελώς ενδεικτικό το γεγονός ότι τα έργα καθαρισμού δασών ανακοινώθηκαν μόλις στις 8 Ιουνίου, μερικές ημέρες μετά την πυρκαγιά στο Πανόραμα Βούλας, ενώ ειδικά για την Πεντέλη δεν έγινε τίποτε, παρά τις σχετικές διαβεβαιώσεις του υπουργείου Περιβάλλοντος».

 

   Σύμφωνα με τον εκπρόσωπο Τύπου του ΠΑΣΟΚ-Κινήματος Αλλαγής «το ζητούμενο πλέον είναι ένα σύγχρονο σχέδιο διαχείρισης καταστροφών. Με έμφαση στην πρόληψη και την προετοιμασία. Με αρμοδιότητες σαφείς και δεσμευτικές, συνεκτικό συντονισμό και εξειδικευμένα στελέχη. Δεν υπάρχει άλλος χρόνος».
