Η Fed ανακοίνωσε αύξηση επιτοκίων κατά 25 μονάδες βάσης

Επιβεβαιώνοντας τις προβλέψεις οικονομικών αναλυτών, η κεντρική τράπεζα των ΗΠΑ (Fed) ανακοίνωσε σήμερα αύξηση επιτοκίων κατά 25 μονάδες βάσης, τηρώντας επιφυλακτική στάση εν μέσω της ανησυχίας για την ευρωστία του τραπεζικού συστήματος. 

Η απόφαση της Fed ελήφθη ομόφωνα.

Το βασικό επιτόκιο διαμορφώνεται πλέον στο εύρος 4,75% έως 5%, στο υψηλότερο επίπεδο από το 2006, ενώ αξιωματούχοι της Fed θεωρούν πως θα αυξηθεί περαιτέρω τους επόμενους μήνες. Ο αντίκτυπος στην οικονομία από την αύξηση των επιτοκίων μπορεί να είναι ισχυρότερος λόγω της τραπεζικής αναταραχής
