Μεσανατολικό: Αναβλήθηκε η ψηφοφορία στο Συμβούλιο Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ

Το Συμβούλιο Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ, αδυνατώντας να καταλήξει σε συμβιβασμό για μια απόφαση που αποσκοπεί στην επιτάχυνση της ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας στη Γάζα, ανέβαλε για άλλη μια φορά την ψηφοφορία επί ενός κειμένου που ζητεί "αναστολή" των εχθροπραξιών στο παλαιστινιακό έδαφος.

Λιγότερο από δύο εβδομάδες μετά το αμερικανικό βέτο, η ψηφοφορία που αναβλήθηκε αρκετές φορές από τη Δευτέρα, έχει προγραμματιστεί για την Τετάρτη, ανέφεραν στο Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο αρκετές διπλωματικές πηγές, καθώς οι διαπραγματεύσεις συνεχίζονται για να καταστεί δυνατό το Συμβούλιο να μιλήσει με μία φωνή.

Το τελευταίο κείμενο που είναι στο τραπέζι και περιήλθε σε γνώση του Γαλλικού Πρακτορείου συντάχθηκε από τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα και ζητεί "επείγουσα αναστολή των εχθροπραξιών για να επιτραπεί η ασφαλής και ανεμπόδιστη πρόσβαση στην ανθρωπιστική βοήθεια, καθώς και επείγοντα μέτρα προς μια μόνιμη παύση των εχθροπραξιών".
