Με wild card στο Νότιγχαμ η Σάκκαρη

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη πήρε την wild card και θα λάβει μέρος για δεύτερη διαδοχική χρονιά στο τουρνουά «Rothesay Open» του Νότιγχαμ, στη διοργάνωση που θα σημάνει την έναρξη της σεζόν της στο γρασίδι.

Μετά τον πρόωρο αποκλεισμό της στο Ρολάν Γκαρόν από τη μετέπειτα φιναλίστ, Καρολίνα Μούχοβα, η Ελληνίδα πρωταθλήτρια θα επιδιώξει να φτάσει όσο πιο μακριά γίνεται στο βρετανικό 250άρι τουρνουά της WTA, στο οποίο είχε αποκλειστεί πέρυσι στους προημιτελικούς από την Μπεατρίζ Χαντάντ Μάια με 2-1 (6-4, 4-6, 6-3).

Στο Νότιγχαμ θα βρεθούν μερικά από τα κορυφαία ονόματα της WTA, όπως η Λινέτ και η Βέκιτς, ενώ αναμένεται να δώσει το «παρών» και η κάτοχος του τροπαίου, η Βραζιλιάνα Μπεατρίζ Χαντάντ Μάια.
