Νέος Αρχηγός της ΕΛ.ΑΣ ο Αντιστράτηγος Λάζαρος Μαυρόπουλος

Νέος Αρχηγός της Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας τοποθετείται ο Αντιστράτηγος Λάζαρος Μαυρόπουλος, με ομόφωνη απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ.

Στον απερχόμενο Αρχηγό, Αντιστράτηγο Κωνσταντίνο Σκούμα, ο οποίος προάγεται στον βαθμό του Στρατηγού εν αποστρατεία, απονέμεται ο τίτλος του επίτιμου Αρχηγού Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας.

Στην ανακοίνωση της κυβέρνησης υπογραμμίζεται πως ο ορισμός του νέου αρχηγού της ΕΛΑΣ έχει ως στόχο τη βελτίωση και την πιο θετική και αποτελεσματική εφαρμογή των σύγχρονων επιχειρησιακών σχεδίων της Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας για την ασφάλεια των πολιτών.
