Ο πρωθυπουργός συναντήθηκε με την υποψήφια των Ρεπουμπλικανών για το αξίωμα του Προέδρου της Γαλλικής Δημοκρατίας, Βαλερί Πεκρές

Ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης είχε το μεσημέρι ιδιωτικό γεύμα με την περιφερειάρχη της περιοχής του Παρισιού και υποψήφια των Ρεπουμπλικανών (LR) για το αξίωμα του Προέδρου της Γαλλικής Δημοκρατίας, Βαλερί Πεκρές, η οποία επισκέπτεται την Αθήνα.

Κατά τη διάρκεια του γεύματος, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, επαναβεβαιώθηκε το παραδοσιακά εξαιρετικό κλίμα στις σχέσεις Ελλάδας - Γαλλίας, συζητήθηκαν οι προκλήσεις της Ευρώπης και του Ευρωπαϊκού Λαϊκού Κόμματος, του οποίου είναι μέλη η ΝΔ και οι Ρεπουμπλικανοί (LR), και έγινε εκτενής ανάλυση των γεωπολιτικών εξελίξεων στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο.

Στο γεύμα παρέστησαν o πρώην επίτροπος της ΕΕ Μισέλ Μπαρνιέ και ο βουλευτής Σερρών και γραμματέας Διεθνών Σχέσεων της ΝΔ, Τάσος Χατζηβασιλείου.
