Πέμπτος τίτλος WTA για την Οσταπένκο στο Ντουμπάι

Ιδανικό φινάλε για την Γέλενα Οσταπένκο στο 500άρι τουρνουά "Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships", κατακτώντας τον τίτλο μετά τη νίκη της στον τελικό του Σαββάτου (19/02) με 2-0 σετ επί Βερόνικα Κουντερμέτοβα.

Μόλις 66 λεπτά χρειάστηκε η 24χρονη Λετονή για να επικρατήσει με 6-0 και 6-4 της Ρωσίδας, πανηγυρίζοντας την 5η σερί νίκη της στην τρέχουσα εβδομάδα στα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα. Απόλυτα δικαιολογημένα κατέκτησε τον 5ο τίτλο της καριέρας της.

Να υπενθυμιστεί ότι η Οσταπένκο κατάφερε να νικήσει διαδοχικά τις Κένιν, Σβιάτεκ, Κβίτοβα, Χάλεπ και σήμερα την Κουντερμέτοβα, η οποία με τη σειρά της είχε αποκλείσει τις Αζαρένκα, Μουγκουρούθα, Τάιχμαν και Βοντρούσοβα.

Ήταν το πρώτο τρόπαιο για την Οσταπένκο μετά το περασμένο καλοκαίρι, όταν είχε πανηγυρίσει στο 500άρι τουρνουά "Eastbourne International" στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία.
