Πήρε το τρίποντο στο τέλος η Φόρεστ

 

Πρώτο εντός έδρας παιχνίδι και πρώτο τρίποντο για την Νότιγχαμ Φόρεστ, που επικράτησε με 2-1 της Σέφιλντ Γιουνάιτεντ στο «Σίτι Γκράουντ».

Ιδανικό ξεκίνημα για τους γηπεδούχους, με τον Αβονίγι να εκμεταλλεύεται στο έπακρο την σέντρα του Οριέρ και να ανοίγει το σκορ με κεφαλιά στο τρίτο λεπτό της αναμέτρησης.

Η Φόρεστ ήταν ανώτερη καθ' όλη την διάρκεια του πρώτου ημιχρόνου, αλλά οι φιλοξενούμενοι ήταν καλά στημένοι αμυντικά.

Οι «λεπίδες» έφεραν το ματς στα ίσα στην αρχή του δεύτερου μέρους, στο 48', χάρι στο γκολ του Γκουστάβο Χάμερ.

Οι παίκτες του Στιβ Κούπερ ανέβασαν ρυθμούς, πίεσαν και τελικά βρήκαν το γκολ της νίκης στο 89'. Ο Οριέρ ήταν πάλι αυτός που σέντραρε, με τον Κρις Γουντ να κατευθύνει την μπάλα στην γωνία της εστίας με μια κεφαλιά ακριβείας.
