Προβάδισμα ¨Μπόρο"!

Στον απίθανο κόσμο του αγγλικού ποδοσφαίρου, η 12η στη βαθμολογία της Championship, Μίντλεσμπρο έριξε στα... σχοινιά την Τσέλσι του ενός δις μεταγραφών της τελευταίας διετίας και τη νίκησε με 1-0 στο «Riverside», στον πρώτο ημιτελικό του Λιγκ Καπ Αγγλίας, παίρνοντας «κεφάλι» για την πρόκριση στον μεγάλο τελικό της 25ης Φεβρουαρίου στο «Wembley».

Η «Μπόρο» ήταν καλύτερη σ' όλο το ματς και πήρε προβάδισμα στο σκορ με το γκολ του Χάκνεϊ στο 37'. Στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο οι «μπλε» ανέβασαν στροφές και πίεσαν για την ισοφάριση μετά την είσοδο των Μούντρικ και Μπρόγια, όμως δεν βρήκε γκολ και πλέον καλείται να ανατρέψει το σε βάρος της 1-0 στο «Stamford Bridge» στις 23 Ιανουαρίου.
