Προβάδισμα για τα φαβορί

Επίδειξη δύναμης έκανε ο Άγιαξ στο Ράζγκραντ επί της Λουντογκόρετς, την οποία συνέτριψε με 4-1 και μετέτρεψε σε τυπική διαδικασία τη ρεβάνς των play offs της ερχόμενης Πέμπτης. Απόλυτος πρωταγωνιστής του «Αίαντα» ήταν ο 23χρονος Γκανέζος επιθετικός, Μοχάμεντ Κούντους, ο οποίος πέτυχε χατ τρικ (16΄,18΄,50΄), ενώ στο 40΄ ο Μπρομπέι είχε «γράψει» το 3-0.

Μετά τον αποκλεισμό της από την ΑΕΚ, η Ντιναμό Ζάγκρεμπ νίκησε με 3-1 την Σπάρτα Πράγας στο «Μάξιμιρ», παρότι βρέθηκε πίσω στο σκορ από το γκολ του Κρέιτσι στο 39΄ (πέναλτι).
