Πτώμα 65χρονης ομήρου της Χαμάς εντοπίστηκε κοντά στο νοσοκομείο Αλ Σίφα

Ισραηλινοί στρατιώτες εντόπισαν το πτώμα μιας 65χρονης ομήρου της Χαμάς κοντά στο νοσοκομείο Αλ Σίφα της Γάζας, ανακοίνωσαν απόψε οι ισραηλινές ένοπλες δυνάμεις (IDF).

Σύμφωνα με τη σχετική ανακοίνωση, το θύμα ταυτοποιήθηκε από ιατροδικαστή και έχει ενημερωθεί η οικογένεια της εκλιπούσης.

Πρόκειται για την 65χρονη Γεχουντίτ Βάις, η οποία ήταν μεταξύ των περίπου 240 απαχθέντων κατά την επίθεση που εξαπέλυσαν μαχητές της Χαμάς στις 7 Οκτωβρίου. Τα αίτια θανάτου δεν διευκρινίζονται στην ανακοίνωση των IDF.

Συνταξιούχος, μητέρα πέντε παιδιών, η Γεχουντίτ Βάις είχε απαχθεί από το κιμπούτς Μπεερί, όπου φρόντιζε νήπια. Είχε διαγνωστεί με καρκίνο του μαστού και υποβαλλόταν σε ακτινοθεραπεία, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες της εφημερίδας Times of Israel. Ο σύζυγός της Σμούλικ Βάις σκοτώθηκε κατά την επίθεση της Χαμάς.

«Οι IDF εκφράζουν ειλικρινή συλλυπητήρια στην οικογένειά της», αναφέρει η ανακοίνωση στην οποία υπογραμμίζεται πως «εθνικός στόχος είναι ο εντοπισμός των αγνοουμένων και η επιστροφή των ομήρων στα σπίτια τους».
