Σε ισχύ η 4ήμερη ανακωχή Ισραήλ - Χαμάς - Το απόγευμα η απελευθέρωση της πρώτης ομάδας 13 ομήρων

Η ανακωχή διάρκειας τεσσάρων ημερών ανάμεσα στον στρατό του Ισραήλ και το παλαιστινιακό ισλαμιστικό κίνημα Χαμάς, που αναμένεται να οδηγήσει στην απελευθέρωση ομήρων στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας και σε αντάλλαγμα στην αποφυλάκιση παλαιστινίων κρατουμένων σε ισραηλινές φυλακές, τέθηκε σε ισχύ στις 07:00 (τοπική ώρα και ώρα Ελλάδας).

Η «ανθρωπιστική παύση» των στρατιωτικών επιχειρήσεων, που συμφωνήθηκε σε διαπραγματεύσεις με τη μεσολάβηση του Κατάρ, της Αιγύπτου και των ΗΠΑ, καταγράφεται την 49η ημέρα του πολέμου Ισραήλ/Χαμάς.

Οι πρώτες απελευθερώσεις ομήρων -13 γυναικών και παιδιών- αναμένονται περί τις 16:00.

Συνολικά, προβλέπεται να αφεθούν ελεύθεροι 50 όμηροι και 150 παλαιστίνιοι κρατούμενοι-επίσης γυναίκες και παιδιά- κατά τη διάρκεια της κατάπαυσης του πυρός.
