Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ: Οι επιθέσεις στον Δούναβη δείχνουν ότι ο Πούτιν "αδιαφορεί για την παγκόσμια επισιτιστική ασφάλεια"

Οι ρωσικές επιθέσεις σε αποθήκες σιτηρών της Ουκρανίας κατά μήκος του Δούναβη δείχνουν ότι ο Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν "αδιαφορεί" για την προμήθεια βασικών ειδών διατροφής στις αναπτυσσόμενες χώρες, ανακοίνωσε σήμερα η αμερικανική διπλωματία.

"Είναι απαράδεκτο. Ο Πούτιν αδιαφορεί για την παγκόσμια επισιτιστική ασφάλεια", δήλωσε στον Τύπο ο εκπρόσωπος του υπουργείου Εξωτερικών Βεντάντ Πατέλ.

Έπειτα από αρκετές επιθέσεις στις αρχές Αυγούστου, ο ρωσικός στρατός έβαλε ξανά στο στόχαστρό του τη χθεσινή νύχτα, Τρίτης προς Τετάρτη, λιμενικές υποδομές στον Δούναβη, με μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη.

"Συνέπεια των εχθρικών πληγμάτων σε ένα από τα λιμάνια του Δούναβη: χτυπήθηκαν αποθήκες σιτηρών", έγραψε ο κυβερνήτης της περιφέρειας της Οδησσού Όλεγκ Κίπερ στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης.

Η Ουκρανία ανακοίνωσε επίσης σήμερα την αναχώρηση του πρώτου εμπορικού φορτηγού πλοίου από το λιμάνι της Οδησσού, αψηφώντας τη Ρωσία που απειλεί να βυθίσει τέτοια πλοία από τότε που αποχώρησε από τη συμφωνία η οποία επέτρεπε τις εξαγωγές ουκρανικών σιτηρών.

Η Ουάσινγκτον καλεί τη Μόσχα να επιστρέψει "αμέσως" στη συμφωνία.

"Η αντίθεση είναι πολύ ξεκάθαρη. Οι Ουκρανοί εταίροι μας εμπνέουν τον κόσμο ενώ η Ρωσία κάνει τον κόσμο να λιμοκτονεί χρησιμοποιώντας τα τρόφιμα ως όπλο", δήλωσε ο Βεντάντ Πατέλ.
