Τιτανομαχίες στο Champions League

 

Η κληρωτίδα στο Σπίτι του Ποδοσφαίρου της Νιόν ανέδειξε σπουδαία ζευγάρια για τη φάση των 16 του Champions League.

 

Η πρωταθλήτρια Ιταλίας Νάπολι, που πέρυσι έφτασε μέχρι τα προημιτελικά, καλείται να αντιμετωπίσει την πρωταθλήτρια Ισπανίας Μπαρτσελόνα που θα προσπαθήσει να επιστρέψει στις πορείες στην κορυφαία διασυλλογική διοργάνωση.

 

Η κάτοχος του τροπαίου, Μάντσεστερ Σίτι, μοιάζει να έχει εύκολο έργο κόντρα στην Κοπεγχάγη, ενώ η περσινή φιναλίστ Ίντερ θα αντιμετωπίσει την Ατλέτικο που έφτασε δύο φορές μέχρι την πηγή χωρίς να πιει νερό την προηγούμενη δεκαετία.

Οι πρώτοι αγώνες θα διεξαχθούν στις 13, 14, 20 και 21 Φεβρουαρίου κι έπειτα από μία εβδομάδα χωρίς αγώνες, οι δεύτεροι θα διεξαχθούν στις 5, 6, 12 και 13 Μαρτίου.

 

Οι νικητές ομίλων ήταν οι ισχυροί της κλήρωσης και γι' αυτό θα δώσουν το δεύτερο παιχνίδι στην έδρα τους. Σημειώνεται ότι δεν επιτρεπόταν να προκύψουν ζευγάρια με ομάδες που προέρχονται από την ίδια ομοσπονδία ή από τον ίδιο όμιλο.
