Τσιτσιπάς/Μαχούτ μπήκαν με το... δεξί στο διπλό του Barcelona Open και προκρίθηκαν στους «8»

Πρεμιέρα... με το δεξί στο διπλό του Barcelona Open έκαναν σήμερα (18/04) οι Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς και Νίκολα Μαχούτ, οι οποίοι επικράτησαν με 2-0 (7-6, 6-4) των Μάτβε Μίντελκουπ και Αντρέας Μις, παίρνοντας το «εισιτήριο» για τους προημιτελικούς του τουρνουά. 

Απέναντι σε δύο πολύ έμπειρους τενίστες του διπλού (ο Μίντελκουπ μετρά 14 τίτλους, πέρυσι ήταν ημιφιναλίστ στο Roland Garros, ενώ ο Μις είναι δύο φορές νικητής στο γαλλικό όπεν (2019, 2020) και με τον Κέβιν Κράβιτζ είχαν κατακτήσει το περσινό Barcelona Open), οι Τσιτσιπάς και Μαχούτ απέδωσαν εξαιρετικό τένις και αφού πήραν το πρώτο σετ στο τάι μπρέικ, στο δεύτερο έκαναν επίδειξη δύναμης.

Στην επόμενη φάση ο Έλληνας και ο Γάλλος θ΄ αντιμετωπίσουν τους νικητές της αναμέτρησης της Τετάρτης (19/04), ανάμεσα στο νο1 του ταμπλό και περσινούς φιναλίστ Κούλχοφ/Σκάπσκι και στους  Μπολέλι/Γκρανολέ.
