Δεύτερη θέση για τον Καραλή!

Εξαιρετική ήταν η παρουσία του Εμμανουήλ Καραλή στο Diamond League του Όσλο, λίγες μέρες πριν από το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα της Ρώμης.

 

Ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής ισοφάρισε την καλύτερη εφετινή επίδοσή του στον ανοιχτό στίβο με άλμα στα 5.72 και μοιράστηκε τη δεύτερη θέση με τον Φιλιππινέζο Τζον Ομπιένα, χάνοντας μόνο από τον Αμερικανό Κέι Σι Λάιτφουτ, ο οποίος ήταν ο μόνος που ξεπέρασε τα 5.82.

 

Ο αγώνας έγινε σε σχετικά βαρύ αγωνιστικό χώρο με τη θερμοκρασία στους 18 βαθμούς Κελσίου.

 

Ο Εμμανουήλ Καραλής ξεκίνησε από τα 5.52, ύψος που πέρασε με την πρώτη προσπάθεια και συνέχισε με καθαρό άλμα και στα 5.62.

 

Στα 5.72 έριξε με την πρώτη τον πήχη, αλλά πέρασε με τη δεύτερη και ισοφάρισε το φετινό ρεκόρ του που είχε σημειώσει στο Χορζόφ της Πολωνίας στις 18 Μαΐου.

 

Επόμενο ύψος ήταν το 5.82, αλλά εκεί ο Καραλής απέτυχε τρεις φορές.
