Έγραψε ιστορία ο Ρονάλντο με την παρουσία του σε έξι EURO

 

Στο πάνθεον πέρασε ο Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο. Ο σούπερ σταρ της Πορτογαλίας που πήρε φανέλα βασικού στην νίκη των Ιβήρων με 2-1 επί της Τσεχίας έγινε ο πρώτος ποδοσφαιριστής που μετέχει σε έξι διαφορετικές διοργανώσεις Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος.  Στα 39 του χρόνια ο Ρονάλντο παραμένει σε κορυφαίο επίπεδο και διψασμένος για νέες επιτυχίες. Το ντεμπούτο του «CR7» ήταν οδυνηρό. Ήταν 12 Ιουνίου του 2004 όταν η διοργανώτρια Πορτογαλία γνώρισε την ήττα με 2-1 στο «Ντραγκάο» από την Εθνική μας ομάδα και μετέπειτα Πρωταθλήτρια Ευρώπης, που προηγήθηκε 0-2 με τα τέρματα των Καραγκούνη (6΄) και Μπασινά (52’πεν.) Με τον Ρονάλντο να διαμορώνει το τελικό 1-2 στο 93’

Επίσης, ο Πέπε, που επίσης ξεκίνησε βασικός, σε ηλικία 41 ετών και 113 ημερών, έγινε ο γηραιότερος ποδοσφαιριστής που παίζει σε Euro, αφήνοντας δεύτερο τον Γκάμπορ Κίραλι που ήταν 40 ετών και 86 ημερών την τελευταία φορά που αγωνίστηκε με την Ουγγαρία.
