Προκρίσεις στον 4ο γύρο από Παολίνι και Μπαντόσα

Η Τζασμίν Παολίνι  νίκησε με 7-6(4) 6-1 την πρώην πρωταθλήτρια U.S. Open Μπιάνκα Αντρεέσκου  σήμερα στο Γουίμπλεντον για να περάσει στον τέταρτο γύρο του τουρνουά για πρώτη φορά. 

 Η Ιταλίδα φιναλίστ του «Ρολάν Γκαρός», η οποία έφτασε επίσης στις «16» στο Australian Open αυτή τη σεζόν, έγινε η πρώτη γυναίκα από τη χώρα της που κατάφερε να βρεθεί στη δεύτερη εβδομάδα σε καθένα από τα τρία πρώτα Grand Slam σε ένα μόνο έτος.

 

 Με μία εκπληκτική αντεπίθεση στο τρίτο σετ , μετατρέποντας το 2-4 σε 6-4, η Πάουλα Μπαντόσα  νίκησε με 7-6(6), 4-6, 6-4 μετά από 2 ώρες και 52 λεπτά  την Ντάρια Κασάκτινα, εξασφαλίζοντας την πρόκριση για τον 4ο γύρο του «Γουίμπλεντον» για 3η φορά στην καριέρα της.
