Γουίμπλεντον- Στα προημιτελικά η Σβιτολίνα που ξέσπασε σε κλάματα για τη Ουκρανία

H Ελίνα Σβιτολίνα προκρίθηκε στα προημιτελικά του Γουίμπλεντον νικώντας με 6-2, 6-1 την Κινέζα Γουάνγκ Σινγιού. Όμως το αποτέλεσμα ήταν  σε δεύτερη μοίρα για την δακρυσμένη Ουκρανή, της οποίας οι σκέψεις ήταν στον πόλεμο στην πατρίδα.

 Λίγο αφότου ολοκλήρωσε την αναμέτρησή της, η Σβιτολίνα ξέσπασε σε κλάματα στη συνέντευξή της μετά τον αγώνα για την είδηση ότι το κεντρικό νοσοκομείο παίδων της Ουκρανίας στο Κίεβο χτυπήθηκε από βλήματα.

 «Σίγουρα ήταν μια καλή εμφάνιση από την πλευρά μου σήμερα. Είναι δύσκολη η σημερινή μέρα για τους Ουκρανούς», είπε η Σβιτολίνα, πριν καταρρεύσει.

 Η Ουκρανή πρωταθλήτρια, αγωνίστηκε φορώντας μια μαύρη κορδέλα.
