«Πέταξε» ο Χρήστου για τον τελικό των 200 μ. ύπτιο!

Με έναν ακόμη τελικό θα είναι παρών ο Απόστολος Χρήστου στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Παρισιού. Μετά την τέταρτη θέση στα 100μ. ύπτιο, όπου άγγιξε το βάθρο για δύο εκατοστά, ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής προκρίθηκε στον τελικό των 200μ. ύπτιο έχοντας με τον τρίτο καλύτερο χρόνο στη δεύτερη ημιτελική σειρά και τον τέταρτο καλύτερο συνολικά.

Ο Χρήστου έκανε 1:56,33, ενώ ο έτερος Έλληνας των ημιτελικών, ο 19χρονος Απόστολος Σίσκος, ήταν έβδομος στη σειρά και 14ος συνολικά με 1:57,77 μένοντας εκτός τελικού (προκρίνονταν οι οκτώ καλύτεροι χρόνοι) αλλά δείχνοντας πως το μέλλον τού ανήκει.

Ο 27χρονος πρωταθλητής θα αγωνιστεί το βράδυ της Πέμπτης (21:38) με στόχο να κερδίσει ένα μετάλλιο.
