Ενισχύεται η συνδρομή προς τη χώρα μας για την αντιμετώπιση των δασικών πυρκαγιών, μέσω του Ευρωπαϊκού Μηχανισμού Πολιτικής Προστασίας

Διευρύνεται ο αριθμός των κρατών που ανταποκρίνονται στο ελληνικό αίτημα μέσω του Ευρωπαϊκού Μηχανισμού Πολιτικής Προστασίας (UCPM), για παροχή συνδρομής στην αντιμετώπιση των δασικών πυρκαγιών στην Αττική. Μετά τις Γαλλία, Ιταλία και Τσεχία, πυροσβεστικές δυνάμεις στέλνουν και οι Σερβία, Ρουμανία, Τουρκία. Σημειώνεται ότι η Γαλλία, πέραν του ελικοπτέρου Super Puma, αποστέλλει και πολυάριθμη βοήθεια. 

 

   Ειδικότερα, σε συνέχεια της ενεργοποίησης του Ευρωπαϊκού Μηχανισμού Πολιτικής Προστασίας, μετά το σχετικό αίτημα που υπέβαλε το απόγευμα της Κυριακής η Γενική Γραμματεία Πολιτικής Προστασίας, στη χώρα μας αποστέλλονται:

 

   Εναέριες Δυνάμεις

 

   - Τουρκία: Δύο πυροσβεστικά αεροσκάφη τύπου Tractors.

 

   - Σερβία: Ένα πυροσβεστικό ελικόπτερο τύπου Kamov.

 

    

Επίγειες Δυνάμεις

 

   - Γαλλία: 200 άτομα, με 28 υδροφόρα οχήματα.

 

   - Ρουμανία: 44 άτομα, με 4 υδροφόρα οχήματα.

 

   - Σερβία: 35 άτομα, με 10 οχήματα.
