Ο ΥΠΕΞ των ΗΠΑ έφτασε στο Ισραήλ για επαφές με την ισραηλινή ηγεσία

Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών των ΗΠΑ Άντονι Μπλίνκεν έφτασε σήμερα στο Ισραήλ, προκειμένου να δώσει μια ώθηση στις διαπραγματεύσεις για την κατάπαυση του πυρός στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας και την απελευθέρωση των ομήρων, σε αντάλλαγμα για την αποφυλάκιση Παλαιστίνιων κρατουμένων.

 

Ο Μπλίνκεν θα συναντηθεί αύριο Δευτέρα με τον Ισραηλινό πρωθυπουργό Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου, τον υπουργό Άμυνας Γιοάβ Γκάλαντ και τον πρόεδρο Ισαάκ Χέρτζογκ, σύμφωνα με έναν εκπρόσωπο του Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ που τον συνοδεύει στην περιοδεία του.

 

Την Τρίτη ο επικεφαλής της αμερικανικής διπλωματίας θα μεταβεί στην Αίγυπτο όπου θα έχει συνομιλίες με υψηλόβαθμους αξιωματούχους.

 

Οι διαπραγματεύσεις, που διακόπηκαν το βράδυ της Παρασκευής στην Ντόχα, αναμένεται ότι θα ξαναρχίσουν αυτήν την εβδομάδα στο Κάιρο, εξήγησε ο εκπρόσωπος του αμερικανικού υπουργείου Εξωτερικών, Βεντάντ Πατέλ.
