Ο Θεόδωρος Κουρεντζής και η Ορχήστρα Utopia έρχονται στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών

Μετά τις συναρπαστικές καλοκαιρινές εμφανίσεις τους στο Φεστιβάλ του Σάλτσμπουργκ, ο Θεόδωρος Κουρεντζής και η Ορχήστρα Utopia, αρχίζουν στις 23 Οκτωβρίου ένα νέο μουσικό ταξίδι στην Ευρώπη που θα ολοκληρωθεί με τις δύο συναυλίες τους στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, το Σάββατο 2 και την Κυριακή 3 Νοεμβρίου (ώρα έναρξης: 20.30). Η προπώληση έχει ήδη ξεκινήσει.

 

Ο πολυβραβευμένος μαέστρος, γνωστός για τις ανατρεπτικές ερμηνείες του, επιστρέφει στην Αίθουσα Χρήστος Λαμπράκης με ένα ειδικό πρόγραμμα, το οποίο δίνει στο κοινό τη σπάνια ευκαιρία να βιώσει μια μυσταγωγική εμπειρία που ενώνει τη μουσική του χθες με τη σύγχρονη δημιουργία, δίνοντας τροφή για σκέψη στον ακροατή.

 

Στο επίκεντρο του προγράμματος της Ορχήστρας Utopia, υπό τον Θεόδωρο Κουρεντζή, βρίσκεται η Συμφωνία αρ. 5 σε ντο δίεση ελάσσονα του Γκούσταβ Μάλερ, διάσημη για το περίφημο Adagietto της. Ένα έργο μνημειωδών διαστάσεων που κατέχει περίοπτη θέση στο παγκόσμιο ορχηστρικό ρεπερτόριο και εξακολουθεί, έναν αιώνα μετά την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα του στην Κολωνία, να συγκινεί βαθιά το σημερινό κοινό. Η αριστουργηματική συμφωνία του Αυστριακού μουσουργού συνδυάζεται με την Πασακάλια - Μουσική για Ορχήστρα IX του σύγχρονου Αμερικανού συνθέτη Τζέυ Σβαρτς, η οποία γράφτηκε για τον Έλληνα σούπερ σταρ του πόντιουμ και παρουσιάζεται στο Μέγαρο σε παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα.
