Η Fed αποφάσισε μείωση επιτοκίων κατά 25 μονάδες βάσης

Η αμερικανική κεντρική τράπεζα (Fed) αποφάσισε σήμερα δεύτερη διαδοχική μείωση επιτοκίων κατά 25 μονάδες βάσης, στο εύρος του 4,25% έως 4,50%, όπως άλλωστε προέβλεπαν οι περισσότεροι επενδυτές.

 

Επ’ ευκαιρία της τελευταίας συνεδρίασης του έτους, η Fed αναθεώρησε τις μακροοικονομικές της προβλέψεις για το 2025, κάνοντας λόγο για ανάπτυξη της αμερικανικής οικονομίας κατά 2,1%.

 

Υπογράμμισε πάντως ότι δεν αναμένει πως ο πληθωρισμός στις ΗΠΑ θα υποχωρήσει στον στόχο του 2% πριν από το τέλος του 2026.
