Billie Jean King Cup: Η Ελλάδα δεν κατάφερε την παραμονή της στην 1η κατηγορία

Η εθνική ομάδα τένις γυναικών, προσπάθησε αλλά δεν μπόρεσε να καταφέρει την παραμονή της στην 1η κατηγορία του «Billie Jean King Cup».

 

Στον πρώτο αγώνα της ημέρας με την ομάδα της Σοπηδίας, η Βαλεντίνη Γραμματικοπούλου  ηττήθηκε από την Λίνεα Μπαϊράλιου με  1-6, 6-4, 6-2.

 

Η Μάρθα Ματούλα, παίζοντας στο δεύτερο παιχνίδι εξαιρετικά, νίκησε  την Λίσαα Ζαάρ  με 6-1, 6-1 και η Ελλάδα ισοφάρισε τη Σουηδία σε 1-1. όμως στο διπλό η Βαλεντίνη Γραμματικοπούλου και η Μάρθα Ματούλα ηττήθηκαν από τις Λίνεα Μπαϊράλιου και Μέλιε Βάμπεργκ με 6-3, 4-6, 10-2.
