Στα έλαια των μηχανών αποδίδεται η πυρόσφαιρα - Αναφλέγονται υπό τις συνθήκες που συνέβησαν στο δυστύχημα

Η πραγματογνωμοσύνη του Εθνικού Μετσόβειου Πολυτεχνείου απαντά στο ερώτημα τι προκάλεσε τη μεγάλη έκρηξη που ακολούθησε τη σφοδρή σύγκρουση στο τραγικό δυστύχημα που ανατέθηκε από τον εφέτη ανακριτή στον καθηγητή Δημήτρη Καρώνη.

 

Η πραγματογνωμοσύνη του κ. Καρώνη, συνολικά 123 σελίδες, εμπεριστατωμένη και βασισμένη σε αναλύσεις και δεδομένα του Γενικού Χημείου του Κράτους, αυτοψίες και λήψη υλικών από τον χώρο του δυστυχήματος, διεθνή επιστημονικά δεδομένα, συγκρίσεις και αξιολογήσεις, καταλήγει στο συμπέρασμα ότι τα έλαια των μηχανών (έλαια σιλικόνης) υπό τις συνθήκες του δυστυχήματος μπορεί να δημιουργήσουν πυρόσφαιρα καθώς κρίνεται από τον πραγματογνώμονα ότι το έλαιο αυτό μπορεί υπό θερμοκρασίες 330 βαθμών και άνω, να αναφλέγεται.

 

Η πραγματογνωμοσύνη παραδόθηκε στον εφέτη ανακριτή Σωτήρη Μπακαϊμη και θα μελετηθεί. Να σημειωθεί ότι πραγματογνωμοσύνες με ανάλογο συμπέρασμα έστω και με άλλη μεθοδολογία υπάρχουν στη δικογραφία από τεχνικούς συμβούλους συγγενών θυμάτων αλλά και την Πυροσβεστική, όπως και αντίθετες.
