Αποκλεισμός της Σάκκαρη από την Ριμπάκινα

 Κάνοντας...περίπατο στο δεύτερο game (6-1)-αν και βρέθηκε πίσω με break, η Ριμπάκινα νίκησε (6-3, 6-1) τη Μαρία Σάκκαρη και  προκρίθηκε στον 3ο γύρο του Γουίμπλεντον.

 

 Η 26χρονη πρωταθλήτρια από το Καζακστάν (Νο. 11)-νικήτρια το 2022- ξεκίνησε το πρώτο game με break 0-1. Στη συνέχεια  (0-2, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 2-4) η Ελληνίδα πρωταθλήτρια (Νο. 77 στον κόσμο) κατάφερε να μειώσει σε 3-4, αλλά η Ριμπάκινα βρήκε τον τρόπο να φτάσει στο 6-3 και στο game μέσα σε 37 λεπτά.

 Το δεύτερο game η Σάκκαρη ξεκίνησε με break, αλλά η συνέχεια ανήκε ολοκληρωτικά στην Ριμπάκινα φτάνοντας στο 1-6 σε 23.02 λεπτά

 

 Στον τρίτο γύρο η Ριμπάκινα θα αντιμετωπίσει την 'Ανα Καλίνσκαγια (Ρωσία) ή Κλάρα Τάουσον (Δανία).
