Ντόναλντ Τραμπ: Πιστεύω πως έχουμε μια συμφωνία για τη Γάζα

«Πιστεύω πως έχουμε μια συμφωνία» στη Γάζα, δήλωσε σήμερα ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, ο οποίος παρουσίασε αυτήν την εβδομάδα ένα νέο ειρηνευτικό σχέδιο σε μουσουλμάνους ηγέτες, όπως και στον πρωθυπουργό του Ισραήλ Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου.

 

«Θα είναι μια συμφωνία που θα φέρει πίσω τους ομήρους. Θα είναι μια συμφωνία που θα τερματίσει τον πόλεμο», υποσχέθηκε ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος από τον Λευκό Οίκο, κατά τη διάρκεια μιας συνομιλίας με δημοσιογράφους προτού αναχωρήσει από τον Λευκό Οίκο για να παραστεί στο τουρνουά γκολφ Ryder Cup στη Νέα Υόρκη. Ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος δεν υπεισήλθε σε λεπτομέρειες.

 

Την ώρα που ηγέτες της διεθνούς κοινότητας συναντώνται στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη, στη Νέα Υόρκη, αυτήν την εβδομάδα, οι ΗΠΑ παρουσίασαν ένα ειρηνευτικό σχέδιο 21 σημείων για τη Μέση Ανατολή, που στοχεύει στον τερματισμό του πολέμου στη Γάζα μεταξύ του Ισραήλ και της Χαμάς.

 

Η πρόταση κυκλοφόρησε την Τρίτη μεταξύ αξιωματούχων από τη Σαουδική Αραβία, τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα, το Κατάρ, την Αίγυπτο, την Ιορδανία, την Τουρκία, την Ινδονησία και το Πακιστάν, σύμφωνα με τον ειδικό απεσταλμένο των ΗΠΑ Στιβ Γουίτκοφ.

 

Ο Τραμπ, που παραμένει ο στενότερος σύμμαχος του Ισραήλ στη διεθνή σκηνή, είπε πως μίλησε χθες με εκπροσώπους από διάφορα κράτη της Μέσης Ανατολής, όπως επίσης και με τον πρωθυπουργό του Ισραήλ Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου.
