Σύντομη συνάντηση του Εμμανουέλ Μακρόν με τον πρόεδρο του Eurogroup Κυριάκο Πιερρακάκη στο Μέγαρο των Ηλυσίων

Σύντομη συνάντηση, στο Μέγαρο των Ηλυσίων, με τον πρόεδρο της Γαλλικής Δημοκρατίας, Εμμανουέλ Μακρόν, είχε σήμερα ο πρόεδρος του Eurogroup και υπουργός Εθνικής Οικονομίας και Οικονομικών, Κυριάκος Πιερρακάκης, στο περιθώριο των επαφών του με τον γενικό γραμματέα της Γαλλικής Προεδρίας, Pierre-André Imbert.

 

Στο επίκεντρο των συζητήσεων στο Ελιζέ βρέθηκαν οι μεγάλες προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζει σήμερα η Ευρώπη, με έμφαση στην ενίσχυση της ανταγωνιστικότητας της ευρωπαϊκής οικονομίας, τη χρηματοδότηση της άμυνας, την προσέλκυση επενδύσεων, την επιτάχυνση της τεχνολογικής μετάβασης, καθώς και οι προοπτικές περαιτέρω ενίσχυσης της ελληνογαλλικής οικονομικής συνεργασίας.

 

Ο κ. Πιερρακάκης υπογράμμισε ότι η Ευρώπη καλείται να κινηθεί με μεγαλύτερη ταχύτητα, φιλοδοξία και ενότητα, ώστε να ενισχύσει την οικονομική της ισχύ, να διασφαλίσει τη στρατηγική της αυτονομία και να ανταποκριθεί αποτελεσματικά στις προκλήσεις της νέας εποχής.

 

Ενώ, κατά τη συνάντηση με τον κ. Imbert επιβεβαιώθηκε το εξαιρετικό επίπεδο της ελληνογαλλικής στρατηγικής σχέσης και η σημασία της στενής συνεργασίας Ελλάδας και Γαλλίας για την προώθηση των ευρωπαϊκών προτεραιοτήτων.
