Μοναδικός και αξεπέραστος Μίλτος Τεντόγλου! Πρωταθλητής Ευρώπης για τέταρτη συνεχόμενη φορά!

Μίλτος από χρυσό! Ο Τεντόγλου πέταξε στα 8.44 μ. στο Μπέρμιγχαμ και κατέκτησε το χρυσό μετάλλιο στο ευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα για 4η διαδοχική στην καριέρα του. Μετά το Βερολίνο, Μόναχο και τη Ρώμη.

Ο Έλληνας αθλητής είχε τον τίτλο του φαβορί να τον συνοδεύει, με τον Σίμον Εχάμερ από την Ελβετία να θέλει να τον εκθρονίσει. Το 4ο άλμα του (έχοντας κάνει 8.27, 8.19 και 8.27 πιο πριν) Τεντόγλου ήταν αυτό που του χάρισε το χρυσό μετάλλιο.
