«Λύγισε» στα πέναλτι ο ΑΠΟΕΛ

Το πάλεψε, αλλά λύγισε στα πέναλτι ο ΑΠΟΕΛ! Η ομάδα του Χοσέ Ντομίνγκες έκανε απίστευτη ανατροπή, έστειλε τον αγώνα με τη Ρίγα στην παράταση με το 2-1, αλλά τελικά… υποβιβάστηκε στο Conference League!

Ο Ικάουνιεκς είχε δώσει προβάδισμα στους Λετονούς στο 40ο λεπτό, με τον ΑΠΟΕΛ να κάνει ανατροπή στο τελευταίο εικοσάλεπτο. Πρώτα, ο Σούσιτς στο 75’ ισοφάρισε και στο 4ο λεπτό των καθυστερήσεων ο Τάσος Δώνης έκανε το 2-1, στέλνοντας τον αγώνα στην παράταση. Εκεί, δεν άλλαξε τίποτα και το ματς οδηγήθηκε στα πέναλτι, όπου η Ρίγα ήταν πιο ψύχραιμη και επικράτησε 4-2, περνώντας στη League Phase του Europa League.
