Άγιο Όρος: Επίσκεψη κ. Μητσοτάκη στις μονές Ιβήρων και Βατοπεδίου

Τις μονές Ιβήρων και Βατοπεδίου επισκέφθηκε διαδοχικά ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης, μετά την ολοκλήρωση της υποδοχής του στις Καρυές, στο πλαίσιο της επίσκεψης του στην Αθωνική Πολιτεία.

 

Στην Ιερά Μονή Βατοπεδίου, το βράδυ τον υποδέχθηκαν με επισημότητα και τιμές, σύμφωνα το αυστηρό τυπικό του Αγίου Όρους, ενώ ψάλθηκε και το προσήκον «Ψαλμώδημα - Προσήμνιο Πρωθυπουργού». Ακολούθησε η προσφώνηση από τον ηγουμένο της μονής Εφραίμ και η αντιφώνηση του πρωθυπουργού και στη συνέχεια η ξενάγηση του στο μοναστήρι και η συνάντηση με τα μέλη της μοναστικής κοινότητας.

 

Νωρίτερα, το απόγευμα, ο πρωθυπουργός επισκέφθηκε και την Ιερά Μονή Ιβήρων, όπου επίσης έγινε δεκτός με τις προσήκουσες τιμές, ακολούθησε προσφώνηση από τον γέροντα Βασίλειο Γοντικάκη και αντιφώνηση του πρωθυπουργού, καθώς και ξενάγηση στη μονή και συνάντηση με τα μέλη της μοναστικής αδελφότητας.

 

Ο πρωθυπουργός θα επισκεφθεί απόψε και τη μόνη Σίμωνος Πέτρα, όπου και θα καταλύσει και αύριο το πρωί θα επισκεφθεί τη μόνη Ξενοφώντος, πριν αναχωρήσει από το 'Αγιο Όρος.
