Έσπασε την κατάρα η Μάντσεστερ Σίτι

Μετά από πέντε ματς χωρίς γκολ στο Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, η Μάντσεστερ Σίτι έσπασε επιτέλους την κατάρα και, νικώντας 1-0 την Τότεναμ με γκολ στο τέλος, πήρε το εισιτήριο για τον 5ο γύρο του Κυπέλλου Αγγλίας!

Οι «πολίτες» είχαν ακυρωθέν γκολ με τον Μπομπ στο 5’ και στη συνέχεια σπατάλησαν πολλές ευκαιρίες, με το 0-0 να δείχνει για αρκετή ώρα πως θα είναι το τελικό αποτέλεσμα – και θα οδηγήσει σε επαναληπτικό τις δύο ομάδες.

Ωστόσο, στο 88ο λεπτό, ο Ακέ έστειλε την μπάλα στα δίχτυα από κοντά μετά από εκτέλεση κόρνερ, με τις διαμαρτυρίες από πλευράς γηπεδούχων για φάουλ στον Βικάριο να μην συγκινούν τον διαιτητή, που έδωσε κανονικά το γκολ!

Κάπως έτσι, η ομάδα του Πεπ Γκουαρδιόλα έσπασε την κατάρα και προκρίθηκε στην επόμενη φάση του FA Cup.

Τα υπόλοιπα τρία ματς της ημέρας θα οδηγηθούν σε επαναληπτικό, καθώς η Τσέλσι έμεινε στο 0-0 με την Άστον Βίλα, η Μπρίστολ Σίτι και η Νότιγχαμ Φόρεστ «κόλλησαν» στη λευκή ισοπαλία, ενώ στο 1-1 έμειναν και η Σέφιλντ Γουένσντεϊ με την Κόβεντρι.
