Κυρ. Μητσοτάκης: Είναι προς το συμφέρον της Ε.Ε. η συνεργασία με τις ΗΠΑ

Ο Πρωθυπουργός στην έκτακτη συνεδρίαση του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, τόνισε ότι η συνεργασία με τις ΗΠΑ είναι αναγκαία για την αντιμετώπιση των μεγάλων κοινών προκλήσεων.

 

Παράλληλα υπογράμμισε ότι είναι προς το συμφέρον της Ε.Ε. η συνεργασία με τις ΗΠΑ και αυτό είναι ένα μήνυμα που η Ευρώπη πρέπει να εκπέμψει προς τη νέα αμερικανική διοίκηση.

 

Ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης επισήμανε ακόμη την ανάγκη η Ε.Ε. να επιδείξει ενιαία στάση, αλλά και πραγματισμό στις σχέσεις της με τις ΗΠΑ, εστιάζοντας στα κοινά συμφέροντα. Πρόσθεσε ότι η Ε.Ε. οφείλει να ενισχύσει τον ρόλο της ως παγκόσμιος παίκτης και να ενισχύσει τις αμυντικές της δυνατότητες και ότι η συλλογική της δύναμη είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερη από κάθε κράτους-μέλους χωριστά.
