Κυρ. Μητσοτάκης: Σήμερα γράφουμε ένα νέο κεφάλαιο στην ενεργειακή ιστορία της Ελλάδας

«Σήμερα γράφουμε ένα νέο κεφάλαιο στην ενεργειακή ιστορία της Ελλάδας», υπογραμμίζει ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης σε μήνυμά του για τη συμφωνία μεταξύ ExxonMobil, Energean και HelleniQ Energy, για τη συμμετοχή της ExxonMobil στην παραχώρηση του Block 2 στο Ιόνιο Πέλαγος.

 

«Η ExxonMobil, ο αμερικανικός ενεργειακός κολοσσός, επεκτείνει τη δραστηριότητά της στην πατρίδα μας.

 

Ήδη έχει παρουσία σε δύο θαλάσσια οικόπεδα νότια και νοτιοδυτικά της Κρήτης. Σήμερα κάνει το επόμενο μεγάλο βήμα: μπαίνει και σε ένα τρίτο οικόπεδο, στο Ιόνιο.

 

Με τη νέα συμφωνία, η εταιρεία δεσμεύεται να προχωρήσει σε ερευνητική γεώτρηση άμεσα, είναι μία διαδικασία που μπορεί να ξεκινήσει σε ορίζοντα 18 μηνών», επισημαίνει ο πρωθυπουργός.

 

«Δεν είναι απλώς μία ακόμα επένδυση. Είναι η πρώτη ερευνητική γεώτρηση στην πατρίδα μας εδώ και σχεδόν 40 χρόνια. Μια ιστορική στιγμή. Μια πράξη ευθύνης και προοπτικής.

 

Κάνουμε πράξη τη δέσμευσή μας: αξιοποιούμε με σχέδιο και όραμα τον εθνικό μας πλούτο. Για μία Ελλάδα ενεργειακά ασφαλή, γεωπολιτικά ισχυρή και επενδυτικά ελκυστική», καταλήγει στο μήνυμά του ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης.
