Με ανατροπή στην τετράδα η Σαμπαλένκα

Το ένα από τα δύο μεγάλα φαβορί για την κατάκτηση του τροπαίου του Wimbdedon, η Αρίνα Σαμπαλένκα, έστω και δύσκολα εξασφάλισε το πρώτο «εισιτήριο» για τους ημιτελικούς της διοργάνωσης. Η τενίστρια από τη Λευκορωσία χρειάστηκε να κάνει την ανατροπή για να ξεπεράσει το εμπόδιο της Λάουρα Σίγκεμουντ, την οποία νίκησε με 2-1 σετ (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).

 

Το νο 1 της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης κατέβαλλε μεγάλη προσπάθεια μετά την απώλεια του πρώτου σετ με 6-4. Πήρε εύκολα το δεύτερο καιμ ισοφάρισε, ενώ στο τρίτο έγινε «μάχη» και μετά από 2 ώρες και 56 λεπτά η Σαμπαλένκα πήρε τη νίκη με 2-1 (6-4).

 

Αντίπαλος της Σαμπαλένκα στην τετράδα θα είναι η νικήτρια του του ζεύγους ανάμεσα στην Ανισίμοβα και στην Παβλιουτσένκοβα.
