Με ανατροπή στον β΄γύρο ο Τσιτσιπάς

Στον 2ο γύρο του US Open προκρίθηκε ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς, καθώς επικράτησε για πρώτη φορά (έπειτα από 5 σερί ήττες) του 22χρονου Γάλλου, Αρτούρ Φις (Νο11 στον κόσμο) με 3-1 στο «Louis Armstrong Stadium», πραγματοποιώντας μία απίθανη ανατροπή στο δεύτερο σετ, που του έδωσε την ψυχολογία για να φτάσει στη νίκη. Στον επόμενο γύρο ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής, που συμμετέχει για 9η φορά στο US Open, θα αντιμετωπίσει τον Λόιντ Χάρις απ’ τη Νότια Αφρική.
