Με ανατροπή στον Β' γύρο ο Τσιτσιπάς

Πρεμιέρα με ανατροπή για τον Στέφανο Τσιτσιπά στο Masters του Παρισιού. Ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής και νο11 στον κόσμο βρέθηκε να χάνει από τον Ρομπέρτο Καρβάλιες Μπαένα, ωστόσο στη συνέχεια ανέβασε την απόδοσή του και με δύο διαδοχικά σετ επικράτησε με 2-1 σετ (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) μπαίνοντας... με το δεξί στο τουρνουά που διεξάγεται στη γαλλική πρωτεύουσα.

 

Ο Τσιτσιπάς τελείωσε το παιχνίδι με 11 άσους (4 διπλά λάθη), πέρασε το 57% στο πρώτο service, κερδίζοντας το 80% των πόντων (36/45) και το 50% στο δεύτερο (17/34), έσβησε τα 4/6 break-points του Μπαένα, συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του πολύ κρίσμου διπλού break-point στο 8ο game του 3ου set, ενώ ο ίδιος εκμεταλλεύτηκε τις 4 από τις 10 ευκαιρίες για break. 

 

Στον 2ο γύρο θα αντιμετωπίσει έναν εκ των Νούνο Μπόρζες και Αλεχάνδρο Ταβίλο.
