Μητσοτάκης: «Έχει έρθει η ώρα πια να κάνουμε ένα μεγάλο άλμα και να μπορέσουμε να προσφέρουμε σε όλους τους φιλάθλους ποιότητα και ασφάλεια»

Στην τελετή απονομής των «Gazzetta Awards» στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής παρέστη απόψε ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης, συνοδευόμενος από τη σύζυγό του Μαρέβα Γκραμπόφσκι - Μητσοτάκη, και απένειμε βραβείο στον Ότο Ρεχάγκελ, τον προπονητή που οδήγησε την εθνική ομάδα ποδοσφαίρου στην κατάκτηση του Euro 2004.

«Θέλω πραγματικά να σας πω πόσο συγκινημένος είμαι σήμερα που βρίσκομαι μαζί σας και πόσο τιμητικό είναι για μένα να βραβεύσω έναν άνθρωπο ο οποίος υπήρξε πρωταγωνιστής μιας μοναδικής διαδρομής, μιας ομαδικής προσπάθειας που έφερε την πατρίδα μας στην κορυφή της Ευρώπης. Νομίζω ότι όλοι μας δεν θα ξεχάσουμε ποτέ αυτό το καλοκαίρι του 2004 και πιστεύω ότι το ελάχιστο που μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε είναι 20 χρόνια μετά να τιμήσουμε τον στρατηγό, τον μεγάλο πρωταγωνιστή αυτής της προσπάθειας», επεσήμανε ο πρωθυπουργός.

«Σε αυτήν την ενδιαφέρουσα συγκυρία θέλω να ευχηθώ πράγματι τα βραβεία αυτά να συμπέσουν με το άνοιγμα των γηπέδων με διαφορετικούς κανόνες από αυτούς που ζήσαμε στο παρελθόν. Είναι μια συλλογική προσπάθεια, θα χρειαστούμε τη βοήθεια όλων, αλλά πιστεύω ότι έχει έρθει η ώρα πια να κάνουμε ένα μεγάλο άλμα και να μπορέσουμε να προσφέρουμε σε όλους τους φιλάθλους ποιότητα και ασφάλεια, όπως αρμόζει σε ένα πραγματικό ευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα», υπογράμμισε ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης.

Η Μαρέβα Γκραμπόφσκι - Μητσοτάκη απένειμε βραβείο στη Φανή Χαλκιά για τη συνολική προσφορά της στον αθλητισμό.
