Νικητής ο Φερστάπεν

Ο Ολλανδός Μαξ Φερστάπεν (Red Bull) αναδείχθηκε νικητής στο Γκραν Πρι του Καναδά, το ένατο του παγκοσμίου πρωταθλήματος, μετά από έναν επεισοδιακό αγώνα στην πίστα Gilles-Villeneuve, στο Μόντρεαλ.

 

Ο τρεις φορές κάτοχος του τίτλου, ο οποίος εκκίνησε από τη δεύτερη σειρά, κέρδισε τρεις Βρετανούς για να τερματίσει πρώτος, τον δεύτερο Λάντο Νόρις (McLaren), τον τρίτο Τζορτζ Ράσελ (ξεκίνησε από την pole position με Mercedes) και τον Λιούις Χάμιλτον.

 

Ο Φερστάπεν θριάμβευσε στον Καναδά για τρίτη σερί χρονιά, αλλά αυτή τη φορά η νίκη του ήρθε μέσα σε αντίξοες καιρικές συνθήκες και με το αυτοκίνητο ασφαλείας να ενεργοποιείται δύο φορές.

 

Η αποψινή ήταν η έκτη εφετινή νίκη του και η 60η της καριέρας του στη Φόρμουλα Ένα.
